Jersey Shore, NJ (March 20, 2016) – The ballots were cast and the votes are now tallied, naming Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Festival as New Jersey's "Favorite Music Festival" in the Sixth Annual JerseyArts.com People's Choice Awards. The annual Awards honor the work of New Jersey's vital, vibrant and diverse arts community. Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Festival was one of the eight arts districts/71 organizations nominated for this year's Awards—the largest number of nominees the Awards has received since its creation in 2008. Nominees for the People's Choice Awards were chosen by their peers through the Jersey Arts Marketers network, which is made up of hundreds of nonprofit arts groups across the state. "The People's Choice Awards pays tribute to our state's incomparable cultural community and the passion of its supporters," said Jim Atkinson, director of programs and services at the ArtPride New Jersey Foundation, the statewide arts service organization that coordinates the annual awards. "All nominees should be very proud of the impact they have on not only their communities, but on their peers." |
